Reunión de fin de año de La Asociación de Trabajadores Latinoamericanos (LAWAS)
Con invitados del sindicato de trabajadores del metro de Sao Paulo, Brasil y la federación sindical CSP-Conlutas

Luego de nuestro acostumbrado intercambio de idiomas tendremos una celebración de fin de ano con comida típica y presentaciones sobre las actividades de la asociación de este ano y el que viene. También tendremos dos invitados del sindicato CSP-Conlutas en Brasil:
Altino Prazeres, Presidente del Sindicato de Trabajadores del Metro Sao Paulo, Brasil. Altino Prazeres es también líder de la federación sindical CSP-Conlutas en Brasil. (video)
Dirceu Travesso (Didi) fue durante muchos años líder militante de la lucha de los trabajadores bancarios. Comenzó a luchar contra la dictadura como estudiante en la década de los 70 y fue miembro fundador del Partido de los Trabajadores y la CUT (federación sindical). Hoy es miembro de la dirección ejecutiva del CSP-Conlutas. CSP-Conlutas cuenta con 200 sindicatos y organizaciones de lucha socal como de los sin tierra, negros y mujeres y estudiantes.Representa alrededor de 3 millones de trabajadores como General Motors, profesores, universidades, trabajadores de la construcción, funcionarios públicos y muchos otros.

Latin American Workers' Association (LAWAS) End of year celebration
With guests from the Underground Workers Union of Sao Paulo, Brazil and the CSP-Conlutas union federation in Brazil

After our regular language Exchange we will have our end of year celebration, with traditional Latin American food and presentations about LAWAS activities during this year and our plans for next year. We will also have two guests from the underground Workers unions and the CSP-Conlutas federation:
Altino Prazeres,> the President of the Metro (Underground) Workers Union of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Altino Prazeres is also a leader in the CSP-Conlutas union federation in Brazil. (video)
Dirceu Travesso (Didi) was for many years militant leader of the bank workers struggle. he began fighting against the dictatorship as a student in the 1970s and was a founder member of the Workers Party and CUT union federation. Today he is a member of the executive leadership of CSP-Conlutas. CSP-Conlutas has 200 unions and struggle organisations including as homeless, Black and women's movement and students. It represents about 3 million workers including General Motors, teachers, universities, construction workers, civil servants and many others. (video)
